Sicily’s Italian Buffet is unique on the buffet circuit because they specialize in Italian cuisine. In addition to traditional fare e.g. pizza, they offer one of the best salad bars that includes smoked ham. Warning, this is not a traditional gourmet restaurant. If you have the desire for clam linguine, there are other venues for that.

Sicily’s is a great place to take your family or larger groups because they can accommodate large parties by moving tables around. Their employees are always friendly and they do not let their buffet run down, they constantly fill it up with fresh items even if you come in for a late lunch.

Sicily’s Italian Buffet in addition to offering good food, their price is very attractive as well. How many places can you eat all you want for under $10. You can go there on Senior day and get two for one buffet for less than $10 for two. On Military day, the same is true, two for one. We generally come on Military day since I am a veteran and my wife and I join a large number of Air Force and Navy active duty members who prefer Sicily’s for the quality of the food, low price and the immediate gratification that only a buffet can offer.

Sicily’s offers a large variety of pizza on the bar ready to eat. Of course this is the Gulf Coast so they have some local specialty pizzas such as the muffuletta pizza. They offer several sauces for their spaghetti and their lasagna is good as well. They also offer mashed potatoes which I think is a bit unusual (they are good) considering all of the rice people on the Gulf Coast eat. But, as I said they get a good sized military crowd.

This is casual dining like many restaurants on the Gulf Coast, come as you please in shorts and enjoy the company. The employees are very friendly and will clear your table quickly leaving room for more.

If you like a large variety of soft drinks, they have one of those new machines where you can push a button for your favorite. When you are finished eating and you find just a little corner of your stomach for dessert, they have pizza style desserts. These are like a blueberry muffin baked on a pizza crust. And of course what Southern buffet would be complete without bread pudding.

As I mentioned the salad bar is large with many selections. If you were on a diet you could enjoy a salad with your choice of the many ingredients and several salad dressings to choose from. I like the fresh hard boiled eggs, shredded cheddar cheese and smoked ham on my salad, yum.

Sicily’s is located at 15804 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39532. There is a Gulfport location as well but I have not eaten there. Be on the lookout for their two for one coupons published in local advertising materials.

I posted this some months ago and my wife and I frequent this restaurant both out of convenience and because the food and service continue to meet with our expectations. Of course as with other postings, I am not compensated to post this review.
